Acoustic Diversions is a small home based shop offering you something a bit different in acoustic instruments. The early 1900's saw the birth of some fascinating acoustic instruments. It is from these early pioneering artisans that we draw inspiration for our instruments. While new to the art of lutherie, music and guitar have always been a passion, and part of life. Giving a better understanding of what makes an instrument work for the player.
We currently have three instruments in the works. A 22.875" scale Octave Mandolin, and 24.9" scale Guitar,and a 3/4 size Harp Guitar. The Octave Mandolin prototype was completed in August 2008, our 6 string guitar and Petit Harp guitar both made the debut at Winfield 2009. Optional on board electronics from Pick Up The World are now available on all my instruments.
A couple of new ideas are milling around in my head. But for now I need to get busy and complete some instruments for you to look at.
Acoustic Diversions would like to thank everyone who has come out to support our first two house concerts at the Lewisville Visual Arts League Gallery. And a big thanks to the Lewisville VAL for use of their gallery. Hopefully we will have the third concert lined up before too long. Remember these are a great chance to see area and national musicians in an up close and personal environment. Proceeds go to the artist with a donation to VAL for the use of their facility. Please come out and support live music in our community!
